Center For Open Source Analysis

Founded in 2017, the Center for Open Source Analysis (COSA) is a student publication on critical national security issues of the 21st century. Specifically, the publication is run by students within the Center for Intelligence and Security Studies. COSA utilizes unclassified open-source intelligence (OSINT) to create concise intelligence products to inform the public on important trends and drivers surrounding issues of national security, while also helping to improve team-based analytical skills among students. There are currently four COSA teams, the Syrian Conflict Team, the Russia Team, the China Team, and the Venezuelan Crisis Team.

COSA is looking to expand! If you are a Center for Intelligence and Security Studies student with expertise in a critical national security issue and interested in OSINT analysis, contact olemisscosa@gmail.com with your interest statement.

If you are not interested in a full commitment to becoming a COSA contributor, we are looking to publish Center for Intelligence and Security Studies students’ products in our Featured Student Analysis section. Contact olemisscosa@gmail.com with a draft of your piece for consideration.
